Brewster County Early Voting totals
Just over 1,300 Brewster County voters cast their ballots early for the Texas Primary Election. That’s about 29 percent of the total registered.
Reporting on contested races only.
Republican races
*Brewster County Judge: Greg Henington, 299; Ryan Skelton, 368; Monty Kimball, 188.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1: Bob Steele, 244; Scott Wasserman, 428.
Democratic races
*Brewster County Judge: Benjamin Barrientes, 75; Oscar Cobos, 242; Mimi Smith, 206.
County Treasurer: Julie Morton, 236; Lorene Villanueva, 255.
*Both of the races for County Judge include three candidates, none of which had more than 50 percent of the total following early voting. In Texas, a candidate must receive more than 50 percent to be declared the winner.
