I am super excited to see progress rather than abandon buildings in my community. We live within walking distance to Murphy street and only recently have seen new growth on this block. Alpine is growing and we all need to accept that. Look at the size of the high school addition! The city certainly is expecting to fill those class rooms, same with Sul Ross’ expansion. Our job as tax payers is to keep our eyes on these projects but also to look to the future. I certainly hope people don’t move out of town because we are growing but understand if they do. I love the vibe of our side of the tracks and will be spending the rest of my time on this planet in my sweet little historical house with all its quirks, listening to train whistle’s and barking dogs, loving every minute of it!

Perhaps the family could locate the brewery along the highway, halfway between Alpine and Marfa. It could be as large and audacious as they dare and nobody would object. It could be a destination.

Greetings, I’m new to this space. I don’t live locally so my opinion doesn’t matter but the article made me curious about what happened to the old Big Bend Brewing facility?
